Verified Reviewer |Defective dentures
I got dentures three years ago, and they have distorted and no longer fit properly. The dentist said he's never seen this happen in 50 years.
Clearly, the dentures are defective, and they won't warranty them.
They are charging me to make a new set. I should not have to pay for them.
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified ReviewerThe work I work I received from Coast Dental was a terrible experience.
The dentist there was not professional, nor did he do a good job on my extractions and dentures. He left a piece of bone after extracting my top teeth. The dentures don't fit, and they hurt when I put them in and out; they also make my gums sore.
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified Reviewer |I have tried to work with them but all they want to do is charge me for services that were never done. They left me with dentures that are 3 sizes tooo big
I had a deeply disappointing and distressing experience with this dental office. I had all my teeth extracted here and was given dentures that never fit properly.
After enduring significant pain, I returned and it was discovered a bone fragment had been left behind, something that should have been addressed during the initial extraction. Even after removal, the dentures remained far too large and unwearable. Despite this being due to poor fit and improper sizing, the office refused to remake or adjust them without charging me for an entirely new set. On top of that, they billed my insurance for a $204 panoramic X-ray that was never performed and charged $167 for a 'comprehensive exam' where all they did was ask me why I didn't like the dentures.
This is unacceptable.
Patients deserve competent care, honest billing, and support when something goes wrong, not blame and extra fees. I strongly advise others to seek care elsewhere.
Preferred solution: I would like for them to fit me for dentures that actually fit my mouth.

Verified ReviewerDo not go there.
They will present a document for you to sign which appears to be stating you will pay if you dont have insurance coverage. They then balance bill the difference between what they charge and the allowed amount from your insurance, saying you signed a promise to pay. Very shady.
User's recommendation: Find another dentist

I'M LEFT WITH NO DENTURES AND OUT $470!!! I CALLED CORPORATE WITH NO RESPONSEI'M SA

Verified Reviewer |Illegal Balance Billing, Failure to refund overpayment, No communication
coast dental newberry square, gainesville florida 32606. they don't inform you this office does not have a dentist available at all and you can only see a virtual dentist.
naturally, the virtual dentist tells you to make an appointment to see an in-person dentist at another office because she's not sure about this or that via the x-rays she's viewing. still, the virtual dentist submitted a bill for $638! my in-office charges were estimated to be $494 and I was charged what they said were my share of costs of $376. my humana insurance, which they have a contract with, stated my share of cost should have only been $327, so coast owes me a $49 overpayment.
they not only refuse to refund or communicate with me but continue to threaten me with past due notices of $73. i've written the billing department twice, been into the office twice, called corporate 9 times, still no one will respond. their bbb rating is an 'f' for not responding to complaints and similar complaints abound. they do not send bills at all.
they finally mailed me on march 3, 2025, the first billing notice for the $73. then sent a past due notice on march 31, 2025. this is for services done on january 23, 2025. when I questioned the office worker why the estimate for the virtual dentist was $23 but the actual bill to my insurance was $638, she curtly stated, 'well, what we give you is only an estimate.' what they are doing is balance billing me, which is illegal.
now I'm dealing with putting hour after hour to get this settled. I strongly believe they do not send out bills until almost 2 months later because you can't file a grievance with humana if it's been over 60 days from the service date, and naturally, most people first try to work out billing issues before they file a grievance. on top of the billing fraud, this office is old and dirty. I can't believe the health department lets it continue to operate.
maybe coast dental is using the overpayments they refuse to refund to grease the palms of code enforcement? at any rate, stay far, far away from this shady business.
in addition, their online portal does not let you copy your records. no matter what you try to do, it leads you to bill pay only.
- Balance billing which is illegal
- Suprise billing
- Late to send out billing statements
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Don't go there, just don't. Shady billing and substandard care.

Verified Reviewer |I have been without teeth for over 2 years
They have not reached out to me at all. My insurance company sent me a bill with two charges on it for services that I did not receive from this dental office.
I had 21 teeth pulled out 2 years ago. They left a tooth fragment in my gum right after I had surgery.
Even with the tooth fragment in my gum, they fitted me for my dentures. They told me that once my gums healed, my dentures would fit me perfectly. I waited the two years. My dentures are huge and leave sores on my gums.
I went back to the office today, and they're trying to charge me close to $2000 for a new set.
This has caused issues with my mental health, and now my jaw hurts. I feel they should be accountable for replacing my dentures.
- Some of the stuff tried to help
Preferred solution: A full set of adjustable dentures, as I was promised that fit
User's recommendation: I recommend they find another dentist right away.
Coast Dental practice misleading, deceiving, threatening and over charging for its inferior service.
The office and hygienist were lying and over charging for the treatments were not needed, they did not forth coming from the beginning but just handed a bill when they're done. It is so unethical and unlawful, I saw multiple lawsuits, but there were no lessons learn to them
User's recommendation: never go to Coast Dental, they will hurt you and over charge you a very bad practice.

Verified Reviewer |False pricing
Not up front with pricing or care. This is a bait and switch company.
They told me my insurance wasn't that good and I needed their $99 plan for better pricing.
However, their plan was only a $25 savings. Don't go here.
- Everything from pricing to service
- Rude dental hygienist

Verified ReviewerNo show charge of $25 for appt never made
Asked the office manager for District Managers contact info and she would not give it to me
The office manager stated that it was from January 29th because I did not call or come in. I stated that I never made an appointment. She stated my husband did and she spoke to my husband when he made the appointment. However, my husband stated that he never made an appointment and never spoke with the manager, instead he spoke with a man on the phone.
The manager never stated that she was going to fix the issue and continued to state that she called and texted but she did not get any answer. I was at work and did not make an appointment. She was very rude. I asked for the District Manager's contact info and she told me that the District Manager does not come into the office very often.
What does that have to do with giving me contact info? I stated that I would find the District Manager's contact information myself and she had lost two patients that have been coming there for eight years over $25.
She acted like she did not care and never stated that she would take care of the $25 for an appointment that was never made. Now, I need to find a dental office that cares about their patients and doesn't add on charges just to make money!
- Poor management
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Do Not use Coast Dental on Vineland Rd in Kissimmee
Poor Patient care and rude, inept front office staff.
I scheduled an appointment and gave my insurance information at that time. The appt was then confirmed 3 different times by their office.
They day of appt I received a cryptic message stating they didn't have my insurance info but never said appt was being cancelled. I received another appt reminder 1 hrs prior to appt. While on way to appt got another message saying it had been cancelled because the call center out of country does scheduling and the office has nothing to do with the call center. Yet there is no way to schedule appt direct only through the call center.
What kind of BS is that? I took 1/2 day off to be at this appt. The woman I spoke with when I arrived at office(went anyways because I was pissed)never offered an apology just excuses, when I called her on that she raised her voice and got combative. Which in return only made me more mad.
A screaming match then ensued as she only continued escalating the situation. I wanted to speak to the office manager but could not because I would have to wait 10 minutes for her to get back from lunch, in which time I would have probably throttled the condescending idiot trying to excuse this office's poor client service. The office was filthy and in ill repair as well. Crumbs all over floor, carpeting was filthy, chairs in waiting room had rips in the vinyl or pieces pulled off completely, front counter looked like a covid breeding site...
This was all just first impressions of waiting area, it was pretty bad. I certainly won't be rescheduling. Even if the poor client services could have been remedied the office being so nasty was enough of a turn off for me. This place is a joke, a typical chain store medical office.
They have so many locations that losing clients is not a worry... They'll just overcharge a few dozen clients they do have to make up for all the ones they lose.
Typical corporate greed!! You suck Coast Dental!!
User's recommendation: Avoid like the plague.

I went to the Tuskawilla office on Red Bug Rd December time frame.
I personally think the staff is great.
My issue is with reaching the office to talk to manager. I kept calling many times and was told high volume of calls.
They offered to leave your number and they will call you back. That was over 3 hours ago. Still no call back. I actually was going to refer Coast Dental to a friend.
But I can't now with the horrible way it is just to reach the office.
This is very unprofessional and I am sure your losing patients because of this error in your system.
Do better! Very disappointed in you!!
User's recommendation: Easier access to office
Stop the make an appointment for cleaning girl was very rude. Acted like she didn’t like her job will be going somewhere else. Will not go back there no more.
All we heard about it was her lunch break people calling in making her look bad according to her gave us a big attitude when we tried to make appointments
Horrible dental office
DO NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Went for a root canal late 2023.
Horrible experience but I'm a patient person & in Healthcare myself so I chalked it up to them being understaffed & overworked. I paid my deductible/coinsurance upfront as requested. Months later I began receiving outstanding balance notifications for $7. Then it changed to $236.
I knew this was a mistake. I went to the office, no one could help. I was told to call the main office. I tried multiple time, no one would return my calls.
Finally got some one. They told me they don't receive explanation of payments when the insurance company send their payment so I needed to contact my insurance company for answers. Sounds stupid but whatever... I got my EOB back from my insurance company just to find out that I over paid Coast & they overcharged my insurance.
So I have been trying for weeks now to get someone from the Coast office to settle this is issue. Of course, no help, no call backs. I was told twice that the district manager would call me. Nope!
Hasn't happened. So I have reported the fraud to my insurance and an investigation is pending. As I type this I've been on hold with Coasfor 38 minutes waiting on someone to answer.
Stay far far away from the place. Wish I could give negative star reviews
I would a minus 1000 if I could. This is the worse service I’ve ever had in my 71 years on earth
I visited them May 5, 2024 as of today July 23rd Ive yet to receive my dentures because that office is open one day a week I wasnt told this at my initial visit. They knew this at that time.
Coast Dental should be ashamed of themselves.
How can I get my dentures. Coast dental on Cascade Atlanta
